MJSA Partners with Federal Express

Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA), in alliance with Federal Express (FedEx) now offers its members substantial savings on overnight shipping of packages with a declared value of up to $50,000. MJSA members receive the special rate of 20 cents per $100 of value—33% off the non-member rate of 30 cents per $100.

This partnership marks the first time FedEx has offered the Declared Value Exception Service to the jewelry industry nationwide. The program's Insight tracking system allows a manufacturer to trace a package's location in real time and allows for third-party tracking. Because it is entirely automated, the program eliminates the hassle of preparing shipping and insurance documents for every package. In addition, FedEx uses a zone-based pricing plan—rather than flat-rate pricing—which can provide 20% to 40% savings on shipping costs.
