The number of watch Web sites keeps growing. Here are three of the most recent.
-
ViaLuxe.com (www.vialuxe.com) is a luxury watch and jewelry site created by two former executives of Internet search engine Yahoo!. They say it's an answer to Internet retailers who sell counterfeits or are unauthorized sellers. It provides information on dozens of fine watch and jewelry brands to help consumers “find, research, and purchase … brands that fit their needs.” They can find any one of over 4,000 authorized retailers, and those retailers can create their own page with store information on ViaLuxe.
-
Luxury watch brand Concord recently opened its reconstructed Web site (www.concord.ch). It features information about the brand and its collections, a store locator, videos, and chat forums.
-
Buy.com, a 10-year-old e-commerce company with over 10 million customer accounts, launched an online store for jewelry and watches (www.buy.com/jewelry). It offers over 30,000 products, including men's and women's watches.
