The Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) will host a half-day conference titled "Corundum: An Expert Look At Treatments, Identification Techniques, and Disclosure" on June 4 in Las Vegas, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. The conference will combine panel discussions, Q&A, and hands-on workshops during which participants will be able to examine many different types of treated corundums.

The conference is a follow-up to the successful Tucson conference on the same subject, held Feb. 4 during the Tucson Gem and Mineral shows. The Las Vegas conference will devote more time to corundum treatments and ways to differentiate, detect, and disclose the process. For registration or other information, call Dana Richardson at (801) 581-9900 or Richard Huntington at (702) 878-3677.
