Scot Congress Is Top AHA Fund-Raiser in Florida

Scot Congress, president of Congress Jewelers, which has locations in Florida in Sanibel, Bonita Springs, Naples, and Key West, has raised more funds for the American Heart Association than any individual in Florida. Congress chaired the Collier County Heart Ball, which raised nearly a quarter-million dollars in Naples this spring. By auctioning colored balloons to support specific Heart Association programs during both the Collier event and the recent Lee County Heart Ball, he raised an additional $60,000.

Congress sold gold balloons for $1,000 each, silver balloons for $500, and red balloons for $250. Many people bought several balloons as a public show of support for the Heart Association and its work.
