Meryl Streep Receives $25,000 Necklace

By JCK Online Staff -- JCK Online, 12/12/2006 10:53:00 AM

Alfredo J. Molina, CEO of Black Starr & Frost, presented Meryl Streep with a Journey Diamond Necklace valued at $25,000 at the 15th Annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast.

Streep, the Oscar award winning actress, received the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at the Dec. 5 breakfast, attended by Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rachel Leigh Cook, Melissa Etheridge, Michelle Trachtenberg, Erika Christensen, Maria Bello, Natasha Henstridge and Catherine O'Hara at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, CA.

The necklace will be auctioned to benefit Streep’s charity of choice, Equality Now. The necklace is the premier piece of diamond jewelry to be accompanied by a Source Veritas diamond passport. This certificate, issued by independent laboratory, Gem Certification & Assurance Lab, guarantees the quality of diamonds and assures the diamonds were sourced in compliance with the Kimberley Process and U.S. Clean Diamond Act.
