DDC Changes Bylaws, Invites in IGI

By Rob Bates -- JCK Online, 4/1/2006 2:00:00 AM

The New York Diamond Dealers Club recently made a change to its bylaws that will allow its leaders to run and serve possible fourth terms. Previously, three terms was the maximum.

Current president Jacob Banda is in his third term. He told JCK: “I'll run, if people want me to.” The next club election is in June.

In addition, the International Gemological Institute grading lab will set up a take-in window at the club. Banda said the club began soliciting labs a while back, and IGI submitted the winning bid.

The window was set to open in March. The lab will service members within three to four business days.
