Timex Shuffles U.S. Management

The Timex Group B.V. in March announced two major top management appointments in its U.S.-based operations. Adam Gurian was named president of the Timex Business Unit, and Scott Wolfe was appointed president of the Callanen International Business Unit. Gurian had been president of the Callanen International Business Unit since December 1995, and previously held senior positions at May Merchandising Co. and Macy's Northeast. Wolfe previously was vice president of global marketing at Callanen.

Swatch Group Tops $1 Billion in Net Income

Swatch Group, the world's largest watchmaker, topped the $1 billion mark in net income in 2007 for the first time, the company said in March. New income also jumped 22.3 percent over 2006 figures. Overall sales rose more than 17 percent over last year's results.

MVI Acquires Interest in ITECH

MVI Marketing Ltd., Paso Robles, Calif., acquired an interest in ITECH Solutions, a Web development and network service company located in San Luis Obispo, Calif. MVI and ITECH have begun work on several Web development projects for jewelry manufacturers and retailers.
