JCK Events, which produces The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas, LUXURY by JCK, and other jewelry trade fairs, has announced two promotions. Yancy Weinrich has been named industry vice president for The JCK Show and LUXURY by JCK. Weinrich joined the organization in July 2004 as national sales director of LUXURY by JCK and then became event director. She's had management roles at the American Gem Society and Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America.

John Tierney has been named event director of LUXURY by JCK and will maintain his role as group sales director for The JCK Show. Tierney began as group sales director on The JCK Shows in 2002.

Henry Troemner LLC, a manufacturer of precision weights and laboratory apparatus, has promoted Edward E. Abele to the position of chief operating officer. Abele has been with Troemner seven years. Previously, he was a sales representative for VWR International.

Jewelers of America has appointed Annie E. Doresca to the newly created position of director of finance and administration, where she will have overall responsibility for the association's finance and accounting, office management, human resources, and IT functions. Doresca previously served as client manager and chief financial officer for BTQ Financial, an outsourcing provider of financial services to not-for-profit organizations.
