CALL FOR PRECIOUS METAL CLAY ENTRIES

The Brookfield, Conn., Craft Center announces a request for entries for a juried show of handmade fine craftwork using the new material known as precious metal clay. Judges will review and select work for the show based on "the way the artist's work explores the creative potential of the material precious metal clay." The title of the exhibition is "Millennial Metal: The Art of Precious Metal Clay." Show dates are Aug. 26-Oct. 21, 2001.
Several awards will be given based on excellence of design, craftsmanship, and innovative use of materials. A sales commission of 50% will be applied to all sales. All work will be insured for wholesale value while on exhibit. Artists will be responsible for shipping of accepted work.
Artists interested in submitting work for the show should send a stamped self-addressed envelop to Judith Russell, Gallery Director, Brookfield Craft Center, P.O. Box 122, Brookfield, CT 06804-0122 for an application/prospectus. Entry deadline is March 15, 2001. There is no entry fee.
