The Independent Jewelers Organization donated a Christmas tree decorated with jewelry worth $200,000 to Cure Autism Now, a group that helps fund research to find a cure for autism. Examining the donated jewelry are [from left] Dan Wayland, grower of the Oregon's Noble Vintage Christmas tree; Richard Swetz, chairman of IJO; and actor Alan Ruck. Ruck unveiled the tree in Boston, and Cure Autism Now will auction the jewelry in November as part of a fund-raiser.
