IGI Offers Classes in Canada

The International Gemological Institute (IGI) will hold a series of practical classes and seminars in Toronto.
The first class in the series, the Polished Diamond Course, is scheduled for June 9-13 at the Canadian Jewellers Association, 27 Queen St. East, Suite 600. The cost of attending the comprehensive five-day class is $995 (Canadian).
The class focuses on diamond grading using the internationally accepted system; theoretical notions; analysis of diamond cut and finish; and diamond simulants and methods of detection. At the end of the course, all students who pass a practical exam will be awarded a certificate of completion from IGI. Other upcoming classes at IGI Toronto include the Rough Diamond Course, Colored Stones Course, Pearl Grading Course, and an Advanced Diamond Workshop.
