Alston to Leave De Beers Retail Chain

Alyce Alston, chief executive officer of De Beers Diamond Jewellers North America, will leave the company at the end of the month, the company said.

Plans regarding the new CEO of North America will be announced at a later date, the company added.

According to a report in Mediaweek, Alston, the former publisher of W Jewelry, will take a position as division president of the Readers Digest Association.

Guy Leymarie, CEO of De Beers Diamond Jewellers, said: “I want to thank Alyce for her contributions to the brand’s success. Over the past two years, she helped establish De Beers as a major player on the diamond jewelry market in the US. I wish her the best of luck in her next endeavor ...
