Perrelet, the luxury Swiss watch brand, is celebrating its 230th year with a limited edition of 77 individually-numbered anniversary skeleton chronographs.
The timepiece honors the 1777 revolutionary invention of the automatic rotor by 18th French watchmaker Abraham-Louis Perrelet, one of the fathers of watchmaking. His invention is still used in automatic watches wound by a rotating weight (rotor).
The limited edition timepiece has a hand-assembled skeleton chronograph movement (with 260 individual parts and designed to show the movement’s intricate workings) in a two-tone 18K white and rose gold case, on a black natural rubber strap.
Set for debut in October, the A230 Anniversary Skeleton Chronograph sells for $28,000.
