Attendance Up at SJTA Show

The Atlanta Jewelry Show, held Aug. 18-20, 2001, enjoyed a 9% increase in retail attendance over the August 2000 edition, according to the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association (SJTA). The show was held at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Ga.
Among the show's highlights was the return of the popular "SJTA U" educational series, which offered a number of business-building programs. Speakers included sales motivator Shane Decker and motivational speaker and trainer David W. Richardson, CSP.
The show also featured "Market Day at AmericasMart," which gave retailers a chance to combine their jewelry shopping with fine-gift buying. After the Atlanta Jewelry Show closed, participating retailers were taken by shuttle to the AmericasMart downtown campus, where they had the chance to explore the numerous showrooms in the Gift and Merchandise Mart.
