The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) will be discussing its newly developed department, the Jewelers Board of Appraisal Review (JBAR) during the JCK Show ~ Las Vegas.

The meeting, to be held, May 29 at 11:45 a.m. at the Sands Convention Center (during the JCK Show Educational Sessions), is designed to take the industry's pulse about J-BAR. Comments and feedback will be welcomed.

"We invite you to visit with us so that we might clarify any facts you have heard and ensure that you understand what J-BAR is about and why we exist. Please bring your questions," says Cecilia Gardner, JVC's executive director and general counsel. "We also encourage you to bring your fellow appraisers and anyone interested in J-BAR."

The Jewelers Vigilance Committee, since 1912, is a not-for-profit trade association whose mission is to maintain the jewelry industry's highest ethical standards. JVC offers precious metals testing, compliance monitoring and dispute arbitration, among many other services.
