ISG Establishes Online Teaching Center

The International School of Gemology (ISG) has announced the establishment of its online gemological teaching center located at www.schoolofgemology.com. The project is intended to bring comprehensive, low-cost gemological training to students worldwide. The course materials are based on the teaching curriculums of the major gemological institutes. Many of the students are distance education students from the major gemological institutes who use the ISG courses and online study library as practical study guides. Fees are $29.95 for a six-month enrollment and $49.95 for a one-year enrollment.
Additional services include a real-time, online discussion room where students and instructors can discuss topics and answer questions; a DVD called "Gem Equipment 101" on how to use gemological equipment; discounts on gemological equipment; and an upcoming array of gemstone study sets that will be available to students for practical study at home.
