It is mined from a small mine Lower Silesia in Poland and also Brazil. It\'s name is derived from the Greek words \"Prason\" and \"Lithos\" which \"Leek\" due to the color similarities with vegetables and \"stone\" simultaneously. Prasiolite ( or vernarine) is the name for any quartz crystal or cluster that is green in color. Heat treated amethyst is not prasiolite.

this is the best reason I can think of to purchase from a national chain. If you have issues and it can\'t be resolved satisfactorily at the local level you have several additional levels. I have managed for several jewelery and customer satisfaction is always a top priority.
