Levinson Jewelers and Soraya 'Race For The Cure'

Levinson Jewelers, Plantation, Fla., hosted an event in December 2003 featuring Latin singer/songwriter Soraya. The event focused on the importance of breast cancer awareness and education, especially among Hispanic women. Each attendee made a $100 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and was entered in a raffle to win a pink sapphire necklace created especially for Soraya by jewelry designer Barry Kronen. The event raised nearly $5,000 for the Foundation, and Levinson Jewelers will continue their efforts on an ongoing basis.
