AGS to Host the Brightest Stars in Hollywood

Jewelry designers, manufacturers, retailers, and gemological educators will gather in Hollywood, Calif., for the American Gem Society's 2005 International Conclave April 13 through April 16 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. This year's theme, "The Brightest Stars in Hollywood," will feature a forum for technological advancement in the jewelry industry.

The Conclave will offer sessions on gemology, business/profitability, marketing, appraisals, bench, family business, supplier issues, and AGS core values.

Michael Fontino will present the opening session keynote titled "X-Treme Jeweler: The Art of Responsible Risk Taking, Creativity and Innovation, and Moving Your Jewelry Business to the Next Level," as well as several other workshops.

Patrick Lencioni, the author of four books, including The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, will provide an address on team-building tools.

Tom Hopkins, author of Selling for Dummies, will give an all-day customized sales training program providing how-to strategies and tactics. Jim Sterne will present workshops on a variety of Web marketing and design topics. Rick McCutcheon will present educational sessions on customer relationships for retailers and suppliers. Ron Rosenberg will focus on building business around relationships.
