If you are unaware of whom Ms. Taylor is, you might want to investigate. Though you might be in your 20\'s, many of your customers will be more mature and know Ms. Taylor and her work. Look at the backgrounds of ALL your customers, not just the 20 somethings. Educate yourself to the culture of the customers that come through your front door. It might be the difference between a return customer and no customer.

Coming from LID sure isn\'t a good thing. Also, I agree on the \"brand shelf life\". Speaking as someone in their 20\'s, I have no idea who Elizabeth Taylor even is, or what she has done. It sure was a big mistake to get out of the generic loose diamonds business and pour all their resources into the ET brand. I also have no idea who Kathy Ireland is, except what I\'ve read here!

If Mr. Rose couldn\'t save the other companies he has worked with in the past, what would make anyone think he is going to save another sinking brand? All this bull crap is being done to shore up shareholder support. What the company needs is a chief that was an Indian, not another chief with a tittle and a large salary. The previous CEO and his brother are leaving for personal reasons; like the company is going downhill and you can\'t stop a freight train? Elizabeth Taylor, while once a beautiful star with a great brand is irrelevant in today\'s market. One of the laws of branding is that all brands have a certain shelf life and you shouldn\'t allign yourself with someone who is well past her prime. No offense to Dame Taylor.
