Financial Aid Available for GIA’s School of Business Students

By JCK Online Staff -- JCK Online, 12/19/2006 10:46:00 AM

Students enrolled in the Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA) School of Business can now apply for financial assistance for both the Jewelry Business Management and Bachelor of Business Administration programs.

To earn financial aid, BBA students must enroll in a minimum of two classes per quarter and JBM students must be enrolled in four classes for two consecutive quarters. Applications for financial aid must be received by GIA at least two months prior to the first day of classes.

Students may apply for different types of aid based on the program they are enrolled in. On Campus, BBA students may apply for federal grants and student loans, as well as alternative/private loans. Students in the On Campus JBM program may apply for alternative/private loans only. Online BBA and JBM students may apply for alternative/private loans that cover the cost of books and tuition only.

Financial aid is only available to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or students who are in the U.S. on a non-temporary visa.

To learn more about the types of assistance available and to apply for financial aid, visit www.gia.edu/education/34799/scb_financial_aid.cfm.
