Carrol Boyes Functional Art, Johannesburg, South Africa, has been honored with South Africa's prestigious Top Women-Owned Business Award for 2004. The company manufactures metal and leather selections for tabletop, home, and office designed by sculptor/entrepreneur Carrol Boyes.

The award pays tribute to South African companies, government departments, and organizations that have made a positive contribution to gender equality in the workplace.

The event was held last year at the Santon Convention Centre in Johannesburg, with more than 1,200 top businessmen and -women in attendance.

According to the South African government, this presentation of The Top Women in Business and Government Awards is now set to become an annual event.
