LVMH, Bertolucci, Milus Announce New Top Execs

Some luxury Swiss watch brands made important appointments to top U.S. posts this fall:

Thierry Collot is the new president of Bertolucci Inc., based in New York City, the new U.S. division of the Swiss luxury watch brand. French-born Collot has over 20 years in marketing and distribution of luxury brands in the Americas, including as vice president of U.S. sales and marketing for TAG Heuer. He also managed the luxury brands of Baccarat, Chaumet, Daniel Roth, Gérald Genta, Maurice Lacroix, and Zenith. Bertolucci, headquartered in Marin, Neuchâtel, Switzerland, produces about 10,000 watches a year, primarily for women. In 2005 it was bought by Dickson Concepts (International), a Hong Kong retailer and distributor of luxury products in Southeast Asia.

Ulrich Wohn is the new president and chief executive officer of LVMH Watch & Jewelry North America, effective Dec. 1. He succeeds Daniel Lalonde, who was appointed president and CEO of Louis Vuitton North America. LVMH Watch & Jewelry N.A. includes the North American business of the Christian Dior, TAG Heuer, and Zenith luxury watch brands. Wohn joined TAG Heuer in 2002 from Nespresso, a division of Nestlé, where he was president. He was senior vice president of sales and trade marketing for TAG Heuer in North America prior to his promotion.

Doron Basha is the president and chief executive officer of the new U.S. office of Milus International. Basha, who has 27 years in the watch industry, has been president of Meyers Swiss Watches for several years and also worked for Charriol and Movado. The Milus USA office will be fully operational by Jan. 1, 2007.
