The American Gem Society Laboratories’ Web site, www.agslab.com, has a new look and layout designed for easier navigation.
"We understand the importance of the Internet as a tool for educating and informing our clients, the consumer, or anyone interested in AGS Laboratories," said Peter Yantzer, executive director of AGS Laboratories. "We wanted to ensure that our site was easy to navigate and that information was readily accessible."
Users can download lab packets, sample grading documents, a dictionary of terms used in the Performance-based Cut Grade System, a "Frequently Asked Questions" section for consumers as well as one for the trade, and the AGS Laboratories trade-secure site where users can register for free, then download the cutting chart guidelines and published research on the AGS Laboratories Performance-based Cut Grade System.
"Any information that our customer service, marketing, or business development department could mail out, the client can instead download from the Lab's Web site in a fraction of the time," Yantzer said. “We are continually adding to the site, and in the upcoming months, we plan to expand the research for the trade and provide a section just for diamond cutters."
