Fischer Re-Elected DMIA President

The Diamond Manufacturers and Importers Association recently re-elected Jeffrey Fischer for an unprecedented fourth one-year term as group president. Fischer was hailed for raising the group's profile, resolving the laser-drilling controversy, and providing steady leadership in the face of the conflict diamond crisis. In addition to the conflict issue, the group will zero in on the issues of profitability in diamond cutting and increasing diamond manufacturing in the United States.
