Staff -- JCK Online, 5/1/2003 2:00:00 AM
The 2003 Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Education Catalog outlines specific career paths available to those with a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.), Accredited Jewelry Professional (A.J.P.), Graduate Jeweler (G.J.), or Applied Jewelry Arts (A.J.A.) diploma. A new 10-page section introduces the new GIA School of Business—the first and only business school created exclusively for the jewelry industry. This section includes descriptions of the school's four learning modules: Jewelry Business Principles, Jewelry Finance, Merchandising, and U.S. and International Business Law and Trade. Also featured is a section on combined diploma programs that can prepare students for a variety of positions in the jewelry industry. Students can attend classes at the Carlsbad, Calif., campus or enroll at GIA's New York or Los Angeles branches.
