Gemstone PhotoMosaic

It looks like a typical diamond photograph. But on close examination, the picture seems to lose focus. An even closer look reveals a montage of hundreds of smaller gem, jewelry, art, and family photos, laid out in a mosaic to create the image.
Tino Hammid, professional gem and jewelry photographer in Hollywood, Calif., created the image for AGTA's 2003 Gem Fair Photo Gallery in Tucson last February. Hammid photographs traditional images of gemstones and jewelry for auction catalogues, gemological publications, and gem and jewelry magazines as well as for advertisements and promotions for wholesale suppliers and retail jewelers.
