Sarin Acquires Gran Colorimeter

Sarin Technologies, the company that produces proportion measurement systems for loose, polished, and rough diamonds, announced in June that it has purchased Gran Computer Industries, makers of the Gran Colorimeter, one of the few electronic diamond color grading devices still on the market.

The Gran Diamond Colorimeter compares diamonds for color matching, predicts polished diamond color from rough color, and shows measured grade and tint in standard gemological laboratory scales. The colorimeter works with mounted or loose diamonds.
