Shine On!

It's time to put some shiny, happy gold jewelry in your customers' hands.

By Carrie Soucy, Senior Editor -- JCK Online, 5/1/2003 2:00:00 AM

Gold jewelry is puttin' on the glitz this season, as fashion rediscovers high-polished yellow gold. The results are not quite as glaring as they were in the 1980s, but the high-polish finish does produce dazzling mirror-like effects. The freshest looks are smaller pieces with a polished surface or, in larger jewelry, polished gold tamed by techniques such as hammering. The jewelry is a perfect match for the season's sheer fabrics and shimmering satin and will also complement the minimal looks in blacks and warm neutrals expected for fall.
