Man Arrested for Attempted Armed Robbery
The attempt to Rob a Pennsylvania jeweler was caught on surveillance video

A New York City man was arrested for the armed robbery of northeastern Pennsylvania jewelry store, according to media reports.
The robbery happened as Steve Hydock Diamonds in Kingston opened on the morning of May 5, according to media reports. The act was caught on video surveillance, which was posted on the Web site of local television news station, WNEP 16's Web site.
Officers quickly apprehended Devone C. Nash of New York City not far from the jewelry store as he and his accomplice were fleeing on a path behind a nearby assisted living facility, police told The Citizens Voice newspaper of Wilkes-Barre.
Nash, 38, of Brooklyn is an unemployed, convicted felon with a history of violent acts, the newspaper reports. He was charged with a several crimes.
The other suspect—described as a 6-foot 1-inch black male who was wearing dark pants, a white long-sleeve shirt and a baseball cap—hopped a fence when he saw police and fled.
Investigators located three loaded handguns, along with clothing and pieces of rope, near where police confronted the suspects, the newspaper reports.
Those guns were placed to the heads of Steve Hydock and his wife, Barbara inside the jewelry store, the newspaper reports. The suspects took off empty-handed when told police were on the way, according to arrest papers.
