New Assay Office Opens in U.S.

The Birmingham Assay Office has created the American Assay & Gemological Office, a wholly owned subsidiary based in New York to meet the demands of the U.S. trade. AAG will offer a variety of quality assurance services to American manufacturers, importers, exporters, wholesalers, and retailers. Services will include AnchorCert independent certification, diamond certification, SafeGuard jewelry appraisals, assay of precious metals, nickel testing, and product conformity and quality systems.
The Birmingham Assay Office was founded in the United Kingdom by an Act of Parliament in 1773 and has undertaken specialist consultancy work in Australia, the Far East, India, Europe, and North America.
