New programs for 2007 Centurion show

The 2007 Centurion Jewelry By Invitation Only new program called Shopping for You at Centurion is one of several new initiatives for the show, which will be celebrating its sixth year.

"The program itself is easy-to-use and complimentary for attendees," said Centurion president Howard Hauben. "We’re enabling retailers to find jewelry from exhibitors, have it digitally photographed free at a special station on the Centurion Collection Floor, and immediately e-mail the image to a customer to get an OK to purchase it for them." The system can also be used to email staff back home to gain input on a purchase.

Additional supporting technology for attendees and exhibitors includes Centurion’s Internet Café and immediate Audience Response System (ARS), used for most educational sessions. Application Systems Corp. sponsors the Internet Café and Shopping for You at Centurion programs.

New entertainment for 2007 includes a special evening of cocktails and dinner Jan. 28, sponsored by In Style and In Style Weddings Magazines.

Monday Night features a bawdy Late Night Cabaret with comedians Chelsea Handler and Harland Williams. And Centurion’s Gala Tuesday Night, stars comedian Kathy Griffin, most recently seen in her own series on Bravo! Kathy, who will also MC a Live Charity Auction for Jewelers for Children following her performance.

Show times and dates for 2007 have changed slightly. Centurion’s leisure activities and Meet the Exhibitors reception will be held on Jan. 27, 2007. The show opens Jan. 28 and runs through Jan 31. Show hours are 10am to 6pm and until 4pm on Jan. 31.

Also new this year will be a Centurion Game Room for Late Night Fun, located next to the Late Night Disco.
