DPS, IJO Promote Three-Stone Jewelry

By Rob Bates, Senior Editor -- JCK Online, 8/1/2002 2:00:00 AM

The Diamond Promotion Service and the Independent Jewelers Organization have launched a joint program to promote three-stone jewelry.

IJO retailers that purchase a minimum of $2,500 worth of three-stone diamond jewelry from a participating IJO manufacturer will receive free materials created by DPS to use in merchandising and advertising programs. The materials include a CD-ROM with an ad slick, postcard, and merchandise images; a television commercial (five versions, featuring different products in each); a Duratrans light box display; and an in-case display platform carrying the three-stone diamond message of "past, present, and future."

The top five purchasers of three-stone diamond jewelry will receive free in-store training on how to sell it.

Participating manufacturers are Atomic Design Group, Jose Hess, Leddel International, I. Gansky, and Philip Wolman & Co.
