AJDC Seeks New Talent

By Carrie Soucy, Senior Editor -- JCK Online, 11/1/2001 2:00:00 AM

The American Jewelry Design Council (AJDC) is accepting applications from talented new jewelry designers for its annual contest, which awards one winner a booth in the New Designer Gallery of the JA show in New York. The contest is among the most prestigious for new designers in the industry.

Submissions are due by January 15, 2002. Applicants must be designers/owners of a jewelry manufacturing business who produce in the United States and never have exhibited at a Jewelers of America show. The winner will be chosen based on originality, craftsmanship, innovation, marketability, and cohesiveness of design. Winners and finalists will be honored at an award ceremony during the show.

For more information, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Alan Revere, AJDC Talent Contest chairman, 760 Market St., Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94102.
