H.Stern Gives You the Choice

With shows like Project Runway gaining popularity and celebrity after celebrity coming out with a vaguely manifested idea of a jewelry line, it seems everyone wants to try their hand at being a designer these days.

There's no reason why the public can't partake of the fun, and H.Stern has found a way for everyone to play designer for a day and still have the quality associated with a luxury brand.

H.Stern, just in time for Valentine's Day, has opened its Web site to all the would-be designers and romantics of the world to let their typography skills run wild with personalized engraved messages on 18k yellow or white gold Sweet Memories bands. For nontechies, phone lines to the New York or Miami boutiques are also open for orders.

Engraving styles in lowercase fonts will fit, depending on the size of the women's ring, an average of 34 characters, or 22 characters in capital letters. Retail price is $550. Men's rings, on average, will accommodate 37 lowercase or 24 capital letters and retail for $580. Engravings will be completed within 24 hours of ordering, though lovebirds should account for shipping time when placing orders.
