Lazare Kaplan named Gasway to head domestic sales

Lazare Kaplan International Inc. has appointed David M. Gasway as managing director, domestic sales, in the United States.
Gasway, 40, has extensive experience in the fine jewelry industry. For the past eight and a half years, he held the post of senior vice president of wholesale trade sales for Mikimoto (America) Co., Ltd., a world-renown 110-year-old manufacturer and distributor of high-end cultured pearls and pearl jewelry. Prior to assuming his role at Mikimoto, Gasway was a regional sales manager with Rolex Watch, USA, Inc. for nine and a half years. During Mr. Gasway's entire 18-year tenure in the jewelry industry, he has concentrated on building the branded jewelry business at the finest upscale jewelers in the U.S.
Lazare Kaplan International Inc. sells its diamond and diamond jewelry products through a worldwide distribution network. The Company is noted for its ideal-cut diamonds, which it markets internationally under the brand name Lazare Diamonds(R).
