Inaugural Jaipur Jewellery Show to be held Dec. 20-22

Redefining colors is the theme of first Jaipur Jewellery Show to be held Dec. 20--22 in Jaipur, India. The show will be held at Entertainment Paradise, Jawahar Circle.

Gold, diamonds, colorstones, white gold, silver will be on display along with heirlooms and bridal jewelry. Organizers say the show should attract 60 to 65 exhibitors and 4,000 to 5,000 visitors.

Though, Gold Jewelry is still the traditional choice in India, more customers are showing a preference for studded colorstone jewelry, show organizers said. Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite, Tourmaline, Tsavorite, Amethyst, Peridot will also be on display.

Jaipur, the Pink City, is the capital of the state of Rajasthan. Well-known as a tourist attraction, Jaipur is located on the "third corner" of India's Golden triangle, southwest of Delhi and west of Agra the city of the Taj Mahal.
