Jeff Cohen, worldwide president of Movado, spoke at a ceremony at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater held to commemorate Alvin Ailey's 50th Anniversary. He expressed Movado's deep pride in partnering with the dance company, and paid tribute to the vision of Judith Jamison, artistic director, and the artistry of Alvin Ailey's 31 dancers.

To celebrate the milestone, Movado released a limited edition Museum(r) dial watch designed with a double-wrap sliced strap that signifies the movement and the fluidity of dance. Ailey's signature anniversary orange inspired the strap color, and the case-back of the timepiece features Ailey's 50th Anniversary logo.

Cohen presented Judith Jamison and each of the 31 Alvin Ailey dancers with the limited edition Movado timepiece.

“Movado has a longstanding association with the performing arts and I am especially proud of our relationship with Alvin Ailey,” Cohen said. “It gives me great pleasure to present these Movado timepieces to this innovative and outstanding dance company.”

Movado will be donating 10 percent of proceeds from the sale of this watch to Alvin Ailey Dance Theater during the month of December. The Movado Museum dial limited edition Alvin Ailey watch retails for $795 and is available at Macy's and select Movado Boutiques.
