Two-Day Conference Program at JCK Show ~ Las Vegas

The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas 2007 will include a two-day extensive conference program on May 30 and May 31 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and the Las Vegas Convention Center. The conference program will offer more than 35 complimentary educational sessions presented by some of the industry’s most revered experts. The conference will cover the topics of Diamonds, AGTA Gems, Business, Technology, Fashion, GIA Updates, Jewelers of America highlights, and industry news.

The hour-long seminars on May 30 will include such topics as “It’s All About the Money: The Diamond Industry in 2007,” “Top Five Ways to Get Sued,” “Innovations in Staff Management,” “Solid Steps to Successful Colored Gemstone Sales,” and ”Top Five Hot Color Topics.”

On May 31, The Gemological Institute of America will be offering two paid-for workshops at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Identifying Synthetic Diamonds and Gemstone Treatment Updates (to enroll, contact the GIA directly at 800-421-7250 ext. 4001). Also at the LVCC, Kate Peterson of Performance Concepts will present two half-day sessions focused on Sales Associate Training, geared for experienced staff who will receive concentrated training to bring power back to their business. Other sessions that will be held at The Venetian will include “Make Sure You Know Your Jewelry Consumer,” “A Realistic Look at Using the Internet to Grow,” and, “Master and Command of the Watch Business.” Don’t miss the new Jewelers of America track featuring sessions on using the Internet, “Buy it Right! Price it Right!” and a special Town Hall Forum.

Speakers include senior editorial staff from JCK Magazine, executives from AGS Diamond Grading Laboratory, Jewelers Vigilance Committee, IAS Training, Performance Concepts, Platinum Guild International, Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council, Natural Color Diamond Association, GIA Research, Jewelers of America, and GemWorld International Laboratories.
