Colibri names McCombs executive vice president of Global Sales

The Colibri Group, Inc. has appointed former Gillette executive Michael McCombs as executive vice president of Global Sales.

McCombs most recently, he held the position of vice president, Account Development for Oral B/Braun.

He began a twenty-five year career at Gillette as a territory sales rep and was quickly promoted to key account manager, district supervisor, district sales manager, and regional marketing manager.

Over the next 15 years he regularly took on new challenges including positions as national manager of Regional Marketing, national sales manager for National Accounts, director of Sales for Gillette Grooming, director of Business Development for Gillette - USA, director of Channel Development for Gillette - North America , and director of Account Development for Oral-B/Braun before becoming vice president of the division.

McCombs also has extensive experience with licensed products (including Disney, Nickelodeon, and NASCAR) and has worked with major chains and mass merchants including Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Federated, CVS, Walgreens, Kohl’s, Kroger, Safeway, Meijer, Fred Meyer, Filene’s, and Sears.
