Former Zale CEO Joins Gemesis Board

Gemesis Corp., a producer of lab-grown diamonds, has appointed Larry Pollock, former chief executive officer of Zale Corp., to its board of directors.

Pollock is currently nonexecutive chairman of Borders Group, which operates Borders Books and Walden Books, and is managing partner of Lucky Stars Partners LLC, an investment firm. He was president and chief operating officer of Zale Corp. from 1994 to '96, and also served as president and CEO of Karten's Jewelers.
