Novell Acquires Wright & Lato

Bridal jewelry manufacturer Novell Design Studio has acquired Wright & Lato, a former competitor within the wedding ring industry.
After Wright & Lato filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Novell, based in Roselle, N.J., said it agreed to manufacture anything that was on order when and wherever it was possible. As a result, Wright & Lato was able to keep its doors open long enough to remain on the open market and Novell was able to secure all of Wright & Lato's assets, customer lists, and intellectual properties.
Novell, which specializes in product customization, said it will discontinue Wright & Lato's 585 platinum jewelry lines.
Novell said it plan to "move the acquired brand name forward" will include strategic retail placements, the realignment of core products, and improvement in the company's manufacturing process.
"Rebuilding the brand will result in a rebirth of an established jewelry manufacturer," Novell said in a statement.
