JCK Wins Again!

I’m thrilled to announce that JCK Luxury, our business magazine targeted to upscale retailers, has been chosen as a Merit award winner in the Society of Publication Designers’ 41st Annual Magazine Design Competition and will be showcased in their Publication Design Annual hardcover book!

JCK Luxury’s win makes something of a trifecta, as now all three of JCK’s publications have won editorial awards in the past year! (JCK won a Gold Eddie award and JCK Trends won a Silver Eddie award.)

These wins reflect our commitment to the highest-quality editorial in the industry. We know that our readers deserve and want the best. We also know our advertisers benefit from increased reader involvement, so our strategy is a true win-win.

I was fortunate to travel to Brazil this month to attend the Feninger Show in São Paulo. What an impressive show! Like a mini Basel, the show’s exhibitors have beautiful pavilions. The style of the show is very Ian Schrager-esque … minimal, modern, and luxurious. It’s a fantastic way to showcase their wonderful jewelry design and a real inspiration. Many, many thanks to everyone at the show for their warm and welcoming reception. Plus, I got to go to Rio for 48 hours!

As I write, we’re gearing up for The JCK Shows’ new NYC Invitational, Rotaforte’s Istanbul Jewelry Show, and the Basel show. I hope I’ll be seeing many of you there.

Speaking of shows, we just completed some third-party research with a statistical sample of attendees of The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas. The results are very exciting. Eighty-five percent of attendees said they use JCK products before the show (our May publications, The Show Guide, etc.) to plan appointments and determine exhibitors to see. Eighty-six percent said they use JCK products at the show (June JCK magazine, our Pocket Planner, etc.) to determine exhibitors to see.
