A&A and Michael Anthony Seal Deal

A&A Jewelers, Buffalo, N.Y., has acquired the operating assets of the Family Jewelry and Special Order Jewelry division of Michael Anthony Jewelers, Mt. Vernon, N.Y. At the same time, Michael Anthony has acquired the Gold Jewelry and Hollow Rope division of A&A Jewelers. The transactions include inventory, models and molds, displays and fixtures, and manufacturing equipment. Not included were the accounts receivable and liabilities, for which each company will handle all prior invoices and claims.
According to the companies, the arrangement enables each to focus on its core competencies. In order to effect a smooth transition, A&A will utilize Michael Anthony's existing toll-free phone and fax order lines, style numbers, and customer-specific SKU numbers; Michael Anthony will utilize the gold jewelry style numbers and customer-specific SKU numbers of A&A Jewelers.
