GIA's Loupe Wins PR Award

The Loupe: GIA World News was honored by the Public Relations Society of America's San Diego chapter with a Bronze Award of Merit in the 2007 Edward L. Bernays Awards, named for the "father of public relations."

PRSA presented The Loupe staff with the award, which acknowledges the magazine as one of the best produced in San Diego County, at an Oct. 16 event.

Kathryn Kimmel, Gemological Institute of America vice president and chief marketing officer, said she is proud of magazine's staff's accomplishment.

"I commend The Loupe team, and the magazine's contributors throughout the Institute, for the dedication and hard work on behalf of GIA that led to this award," she said.
