Last year's celebrity-backed platinum heart charity promotion was so well received that the Platinum Guild brought back the Women With Heart program for a second year.

Women With Heart pairs celebrities with top platinum jewelry manufacturers in the design and fabrication of platinum heart pendants. Once designed and created, the pieces are auctioned by Sotheby's, with the proceeds going to whatever charity the celebrity chooses.

This year, the celebrities are Christina Applegate, who worked with jeweler Neil Lane to benefit the Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence; Brandy, who worked with Alex Soldier to benefit the United Negro College Fund; Gisele Bundchen, who worked with Gumuchian Fils to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; Penelope Cruz, who worked with Verragio to benefit Caring for Children & Families with AIDS; Susan Sarandon, who worked with Scott Kay to benefit the Heifer Project; and Barbra Streisand, who worked with Michael Beaudry to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.
