MVI Marketing president to be honored by IDCA

Elizabeth Chatelain, president of MVI Marketing Ltd., Paso Robles, Calif., and co-founder and program manager of the Indo Argyle Diamond Council (IADC), has been chosen to receive the Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association's (IDCA) "Doyenne of the Year Award."
Each year the IDCA recognizes women for their outstanding performance in the jewelry industry by honoring them with this award. This year the IDCA will celebrate its 20th Annual Gala Night by recognizing Chatelain as a leader her field. With more than 25 years experience in the fine jewelry business, she has been involved with every sector of the industry. She has worked with mining concerns, gem cutters, dealers, brokers, jewelry manufacturers, retailers, and trade associations. MVI Marketing Ltd. is the industry's leading business consulting group and as such has developed creative and innovative marketing campaigns like the Champagne Diamond Center.
The Gala Night will be held Monday July 26 at 6:30 p.m. aboard the New York Circle Line Cruise Ship, Pier 83. About 500 persons are expected to attend.
"I have had the pleasure of working with the Indian community for eleven years and have enjoyed every minute of it," Chatelain said in response to receiving this year's honor.
Chatelain co-founded the IADC along with her husband, Martin Hurwitz, on behalf of Rio Tinto Diamonds. The IADC and IDCA are often confused because their initials are so similar. The IADC is a small group of hand picked Indian Jewelry manufacturers. The organization is sponsored by Rio Tinto Diamonds.
The IDCA has been an important voice for the Indian diamond & colored stone companies located in New York, for the past twenty years.
