Metal for Motorheads

By Jennifer Heebner -- JCK Online, 6/1/2007 2:00:00 AM

Frederick Goldman Inc., New York, is launching a collection of men's and women's NASCAR-themed jewelry featuring the top circuit racers. NASCAR (the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) is America's second-most-watched sport after football.

Designed in-house by the Goldman team, the collections were inspired by materials taken straight from the races. Stainless steel is the predominant metal, with black finishes, 14k gold accents, and the drivers' racing numbers highlighted in the designs. Featured drivers include Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, JJ Yeley, and Denny Hamlin.

The collection includes bracelets, rings, dog-tag pendants, key chains, and money clips. Slated for distribution at national retailers this fall, it will be supported by strong in-store collateral materials. The NASCAR theme is carried throughout the packaging, certificate of authenticity, and product displays.
