New CEO for De Beers Retail Chain

By JCK Online Staff -- JCK Online, 5/22/2009 10:12:00 AM

De Beers’ retail joint venture with LVMH has new leadership.

Guy Leymarie, current De Beers Diamond Jewellers CEO, will step down from the post on January 1, 2010, when his contract expires.  The chain currently has 40 stores worldwide.

He will be replaced as CEO by Francois Delage, who is currently leading De Beers’ Forevermark initiative.

Meanwhile, Stephen Lussier will succeed Delage as chief executive of Forevermark. Lussier will also remain the De Beers Group executive director for external and corporate affairs.

Lussier is a De Beers veteran who has served as De Beers worldwide director of marketing.
