PGI at 12: Back to the Future
When the Platinum Guild International (PGI) opened its American office in 1992, it set itself the ambitious task of building widespread desire for the metal among American consumers. Platinum jewelry had been popular prior to World War II, but its use in jewelry was curtailed during the war, and consumers born after the war weren't accustomed to buying it.
